Students’ Comments

I learned a ton this semester, and this was the best course I’ve taken yet in my time at USF.

The class is well structured with a good balance of theory, research, and industry examples. The small, weekly homework assignments build on the lectures, and the larger assignments build on each of those smaller ones, reinforcing our learning by putting those new skills into practice.

I really liked the short homeworks and the slightly larger assignments and the final project. They were all great at helping me practice skills and get better at using AR!

This was one of my favorite courses at Mines so far. It was really cool to build multiple real things with software, and it solidified my desire to actually work in software engineering. I am considering looking for work in the VR/AR space when I am finished with my degree, as I have connections there and this course was directly relevant to that sort of work.

This was my favorite class this semester because of all the cool AR features I learned how to implement.

Dr. Han has been one of my favorite instructors. It’s clear he cares about his students, and he’s a good communicator.

I thought the slides walking through the basics of concepts and assignments were extremely helpful in building an understanding of what we can do with AR in Unity and where we can build off of.

I liked that this was a mostly project based class. It was nice to be able to build practical skills that I could use in the professional world. The combination of topic → project worked nicely

The tutorials in the slides helped a lot because they had pictures and step-by-step instructions to set up different things in Unity and Vuforia.

He has been very helpful and explains the topics well!

Great professor who care about his students!

I liked doing the Unity assignments!

Actively engaging with the class!

Great job!

Thank you for teaching this semester. I hope you have a great winter break!
